PPG Aerospace Transparencies - Aftermarket Support The focus of PPG's aircraft transparency business is on value-providing products that meet customer requirements and perform trouble-free with a minimum of attention and maintenance. That focus on value doesn't stop when a windshield is installed in an aircraft. As long as an aircraft is supported by the original-equipment manufacturer, PPG continues to work to improve service life of the transparencies. As performance requirements for transparencies on commercial, business and military aircraft continue to evolve, PPG will pursue a process of continuous improvement, working with operators and airframe manufacturers, conducting ongoing product performance field evaluations, and developing new and upgraded transparencies that offer long service life and reduced life-cycle cost for increased value.
